3d printing pen-Expert recommendations to choose

I am in need of the best 3D printing pen because my current cheap one has been giving me a lot of trouble. It overheats, clogs frequently and the extrusion is very inconsistent which makes detailed work frustrating and messy. I have also noticed that during longer projects performance drops and the pen becomes uncomfortable to use.I went through reviews from trusted sources including YouTube creators who specialize in 3D printing and crafting, detailed blog reviews, and verified Amazon customer feedback. After comparing many options these three consistently came up as top choices

3Doodler 3D Printing Pen
MYNT3D 3d Printing Pen
Scrib3d printing pen

At this point I am having a hard time deciding which one would be better for my needs and I would really appreciate some expert advice especially from people who regularly use 3D printing pens for art, prototyping, or repairs.I usually work on projects for 2–3 hours at a time sometimes longer and I want a pen that offers smooth filament flow, good temperature control and consistent results without constantly clogging or overheating. I am aiming for something that feels professional and reliable without jumping into a full 3D printer setup.Any suggestions advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I have been using the MYNT3D 3D Printing Pen pretty regularly for art projects sometimes 2+ hours at a time and it has been solid. The adjustable temperature really helps with smooth flow especially when switching filament brands. It does get warm after long sessions, but not uncomfortable for me. Are you mostly working with PLA or do you plan on trying other filaments too?

What do you use a pen for? Will you guys show some project pics?

The model I have is no longer available.

The Scrib3d model you linked to is for children. Pens in this group don’t use standard PLA filament (those multi-color packs advertised on Amazon are not standard PLA). There is a Scrib3d model listed at 59.99, which will have better controls and able to work with standard PLA. I expect the MYNT3D model to be similar.

I don’t know what makes the 3Doodler worth $160.

What are you aiming to make, if you don’t want to invest in a printer? I use an adult grade 3D pen to weld parts together (I print large models in parts and 3D print the seams, rather than glue). These pens are good for that, but I can’t see someone trying to print any reasonable model by hand with a pen.
