As for your desire to make parts for RC vehicles, that can get very specific in order to keep geometries accurate. Have you looked into 3D scanning using a phone?
Personally, I’m a big fan of OpenSCAD for modelling simply because I come from a programming background and find 3D modelling software somewhat unintuitive. I come form a 2D CAD world and none of my 2D CAD tools have 3D extensions which is a bit frustrating.
Also, while I’m thinking of it, I trust you’ve reached out to the RC community for STL files?
