Resin Printer - FEP issues, extremely short life

When a international company advertises they offer a 30 day money back warranty I honestly expect them to standby the warranty.
There are many public records showing this model has serious over exposure issues.
An international company should not just tell the customer, to talk to the country dealer…
They should have offered money back to the customer and given the customer a choice to return the machine for repair because this is a known issue.
I’m an engineer so I would have agreed to sending the updated power supply.
It costs an international company next to nothing to replace fep sheets and resin as a way to say sorry for the hassle caused by a faulty machine.
Tony has offered to take back this machine, which I truly appreciate. Let’s hope th power supply resolves the issue…

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Tony and the team at 3D printing Canada for contacting Creality technical support. Also a special thank you to Creality technical support.
Today I received a new internal power supply unit, a new display & 1 litre of resin, I’m sure this will fix my FEP issues.
I was expecting only the power supply replacement, so the replacement screen and a liter of resin was a wonderful gesture!

As a buyer you always hope your local dealer will look after you, and I have to say 3D Printing Canada has been outstanding.

Sadly no, I enjoy the one off art pieces.
Printer is now printing perfect with the new parts. It’s been printing almost 24 hours a day for the last month and still on the same FEP sheet and zero failed prints, plus using almost the full volume of the bed.

TECHNICAL ISSUE RESOLVED. Updated firmware, Creality replacement power supply & LCD. Thank you 3D Printing Canada for outstanding support!

If 3D Printing Canada would like the files to make your own shop copy, you are most welcome to them. It’s a good test bed project… But you need lots of patience.

Now working on R2D2 robot with Alexa inside…

I will upload the files to a drive and send you an invite. I have a version which is closer replica. Two parts would be easier to print on a larger machine bed. Joining them was tedious and more sanding and finishing. My glass tube arrived, from ikea, so will modify the base to fit better. If I was doing another one, I would change the wrist area a little bit. So will change my CAD model, so you have the improvements. Be warned it’s a lot of parts, but they can be nested on the bed. You will also need to source some m2, m2.5 and m3 bolts and nuts for the finger joints.

Excellent thank you for the break down!

We sell those bolts at the store. So no problem to find.

We hated searching the city for fasteners!!
Figured customers were frustrated too!

Got ourselves a 12foot long Metric Bolt bin
