# The application of 3D scanning in 3D printing

3D scanner is a helpful tool for 3D designer. 3D designers can speed up their work by [3D scanning](https://shop.revopoint3d.com/products/revopoint-mini-blue-light-3d-scanner). They can get many basic 3D model frame by use 3D scanner to scan objects which they want to design.  
Then they can design the product prototype base on the 3D models export from 3D scanner.

For 3D printer users, 3D scanner can be used to copy some sculptures even big statues. They also can use it to copy household products which they like. For example, a Revopoint 3D scanner user use Revopoint MINI to scan a ceramic flower pot, and then 3d print it out twice as large.
