Upgraded BIQU B1 hot end to a BIQU H2 500c and this is making me CRAZY!

Have you confirmed the type of thermistor used in the new hot end?

When I looked before, it seems like the H2 has a PT100 and that’s more or less confirmed in your post:

Take a look under “(1) Configuring the configuration.h file”.

You’ve figured out how to update your firmware, I think you now need to learn to build your own version of it. If I remember correctly, all the Marlin files for the BIQU B1 are available for download, with this you need to make the modifications set out in the instructions.

Yeah, well… sorry about that but what was left out of this thread was the fact that I did indeed send the H2 back, reattached all of the original hardware and fired it up and that’s when I started getting error messages about the “type C Wire” so, in an attempt to remedy these problems ( mainly the “type C wire” one) I bought brand new stock full hotend, C type wire and the circuit board that they all plug into.

This did not fix the problem so that’s why I started trying to get the stock firmware re installed.
That gets us to where we are now.

I will recheck all the wiring and connections again when I get home and see if I find anything.

As far as building my own version of the firmware, I am definitely not interested. That’s how I ended up in this predicament in the first place, I just wanted to upgrade my BIQU B1 to a direct drive hotend, bought one from the company that made my printer that also stated that it was a direct replacement, yet provided poor directions at best and no support for the product.

This whole thing pushed my to purchase an Ender 3 S1 with a Sprite direct drive and I am having a great time with it.

but I do still want to get my BIQU B1 going again.

So I finally resolved my BIQU B1 problems and it is up and running again.

Of course the issue was simple, once I realized what I did.

I had the thermistor for the hotend plugged into the TH1 port instead of the TH0 port on the motherboard.

Thanks to everyone for their input and help.

And now I have two working printers.

Awesome that’s great news, glad to know it was at least an easy fix, Does not make it any less frustrating but at least it’s easy
