So I recently watched Thomas’s video on 0.6mm nozzles:
It was pretty convincing… thought I might give 0.6mm a try. Has anyone else abandoned 0.4mm for 0.6mm?

most of my prints are set up for.6, I find they are stronger and if I need the detail I drop the layer height.
Print times are so much better
I have one in a 0.4 and two in a 0.6. I do the same as Jason. I rarely feel the
need of a 0.4 these days.
After that video I now have 2 machines on 0.6mm and the other usually on 0.3mm for fine work.
Happy with the results all round. Quicker, stronger. Maybe a bit more stringing. It does seem like I’m using filament at a bit higher rate, but then that lets me get to new colours faster!
Oh absolutely faster use! I found that I needed fewer perimeters, it slowed the usage a bit…
Thanks for the feedback! I guess I’ve got nothing to lose by trying out a 0.6mm… just have to make sure to make the necessary adjustments.
