Are there any affordable 3d scanners that are ready for serious use? I’d like to scan some taillights and other car parts to reproduce on my printer. Not huge pieces but I need pretty fine detail and the scans need to be dimensionally accurate.
It seems that anything under $1000 has bad reviews, or is more of a novelty.
Have I missed anything? Or should I keep waiting for the technology to get better and cheaper?
For budget I would recommend something like the Cr-Scan ferret, it connects to your phone and can scan small-medium sized things pretty well. Plus it is a great price at only around $450 cad.
It looks like you need a 3D scanner that can handle fine details and high accuracy, especially for scanning taillights and car parts. These applications require the scanner to be very accurate in dimensions to ensure that the printed parts fit properly.
Revopoint 3D scanners are a good choice within this budget range. They perform well with small and medium-sized objects and are reasonably priced. For scans that require fine detail, Revopoint is able to provide good detail and accuracy.
