I like tools that have dust collection (and hate it when tools fling dust everywhere 
).
I purchased a new 5” random orbit sander, and all it has is this goofy canister that (according to reviews) fills up almost immediately, and doesn’t really collect much anyway.
It’s rather complicated. It has two tabs that lock it in place, an orientation key, and an O ring to seal. It is also tapered, to help hold it in place.
I came up with the following to adapt it to my vacuum setup. Snaps in place and seals very well.
