Anyone here doing 3D printing alongside their regular print work?

Curious if there’s crossover in this community-who’s running 3D printers alongside screen/digital/other setups?

Quick questions to kick things off:

  • what are you printing - prototypes, jigs/fixtures, finished products, something else?
  • FDM, resin, or something fancier?
  • biggest pain point so far?

I use my 3D printers as tools not a hobby. I print almost exclusively functional parts. I run 2 tool changers, two multi material and two dedicated FDM printers. Add a laser and screen printing, I can manufacturer a lot of things.

I often build jigs for doing other projects (alignment aids) and various accessories.

My recent example, I needed small part storage, I found small bins with a lip (400mmx300mm) I bought two pine boards printed rectangles with screw holes the correct width for the bins to slide on added them to the boards added a laser cut back and a few threaded rods to hold the boards apart and added pulls and presto in one afternoon I have a 15 drawer unit.
