Bambu Labs and Rogers xfinity network

Just wondering if anyone else has recently run into trouble using their Bambu Labs printer on a Rogers xfinity home network?

Mine was running fine for a month. It was an expanded network using a pod as the it didn’t work till i got the pod.

A couple days ago lost connection to the printer and can’t get it rebound. I have factory reset the printer and gone through the Bambu Labs Handy app to bind the printer but it times out at the stage of trying to connect to the network. I’m wondering if rogers has recently changed something on their routers in the background that broke things.

I’m currently working on setting up the printer in WLAN offline mod so it is only on the local network. loose some functionality as the phone app won’t work but it might let me still control it from my computer on a separate router that isn’t connected to the internet.

Thoughts?

The last firmware update to my Bambu caused lots of connectivity issues. I found logging out of everything and back in again helped. I also stopped turning it off that also seemed to help. I am using an eero

would the bambu have installed the firmware in the background? I didn’t do a firmware upgrade.

Could it be the 2.4 vs 5 Ghz wifi? Bambu only supports 2.4 I believe.

i was thinking the same about the 2.4 vs 5gh. The rogers xfinity network lets you split the network but only if not using an expansion repeater pod. I have been using the network expansion pod for a month with the bambu printer with out a problem.

Update. Today I decided to try one more attempt at binding the printer to the network with the phone app. This time it worked. After 3 days and no real changes to my set up. I’m happy it is working, but annoyed that it seams random.
