Is nozzle cleaning filament still a thing? The k1 series have, at least the newer ones, the Unicorn nozzle with the hardened steel tips, should cleaning filament be used.
Does it help or not really necessary?
Any down side to using it?

I don’t think there’s any downside, I use it after long prints or if I’m going from dark colours to light colours between beings just to clean gunk out.
That being said I will still cold pull with white filament just to make sure I can see that there’s no residue left.
I guess the only down side is you can’t cold pull effectively cause its too fluid. It’s a bit expensive to buy it in its own some times, you actually get quite a bit of free stuff when you buy ziro filament online!
Yes cleaning filament and purging filament.Cleaning filament is water infuse nylons that steam clean the interior of a nozzle, purging filaments a high molecular weight (UHMW) that other plastics tend to stick to.
Both work fairly well but mostly need regular use, at least that’s my experience
Thanks for the reply’s.
