So I’ve had my 3D printer for over a year now but i recieved a CR Touch for christmas. Ive installed the unit and updated the firmware from the creality site using 4.2.2. It was glitchy at best when trying to get the system to update and it took a few times. Once I got the firmware to install i set up the trim and offset of the bed. I created a new gcode program from prusa and put it on the SD card. The system started not reading the SD card and I would have to remove and re incert it to get it to read. Once the print starts it will do about 2 passes on the brim and freeze. If I adjust the offset on the fly it freezes. Ive seached for something to help with these issues and found nothing. Im purchasing a new SD card to try and see if this is the issue but if anyone has insite into a similar issue with resolve please let me know.
Try and find a different version (older) of the firmware and see if it works better.
Would you have a suggestion to a place to find an older version?
From the Creality site that has firmware updates. Sometimes their software can be buggy.
Did you try reformatting the SD-Card to FAT32 and an allocation unit size of 4096? It usually works for me. What was exactly the firmware you used?
I bought a new SD card and tried that but still nothing. I will try to set to 4096 and hopefully that works
