Instead of picking which printer it is, I actually have Ender 3v2 and an Ender 5S1 and both of them have the same problem.
And I’ve seen other models on YouTube with this issue as well.
So I’m hoping somebody knows how to fix it.
When you are navigating the SD card files to pick something you want to print, it literally only shows like 15 (actual amount varies based on which letters used ) characters of the file name and then it goes… And leaves literally half the screen blank like it doesn’t exist.
So as you can see, the bottom one that hasn’t been edited from the pre-generated name has 1/3 of its space consumed by the printer model.
I would like to not only have the printer model as it does by default but also the filament and nozzle size as well in the file name before what you’re actually printing so I don’t have to keep slicing the same object over and over to try different filaments and nozzle sizes, without having to come up with some kind of a abbreviated code so I know what file is, what with this limited display.
So when I’m using the slicer it’s very tedious to constantly be retyping in the name it wants to use as the file where it likes to put the model of the printer before the file name.
I’m getting frustrated with having to change that so it’s on the back of the file name or trying to figure out which file is which when that printer model in the auto generated file name is taking up the majority of your screen space?
How come the file name after you’ve been hovering over it for a few seconds? Does not roll roll like a billboard so you can see the full text.
Alternatively, can we reduce the font size to fit more characters on this menu with creality boards?
If it would have the ability to go within folders so that you could use those as sorting, this would help but it seems like it will display nothing except for the contents in the root part of the SD card which is also annoying.
