I just got a creality k1 max and it did its first few prints fine but when trying to print out a death whistle the first print came out with gaps like this: https://imgur.com/a/RCy1qCV

So I read on here that it could be caused by underextruion due to heat creep with PLA and that can be remedied by opening the top, after I opened the top and tried again it started printing out like this… https://imgur.com/a/2XGXp2D so I stopped it. I am very novice at this and I dont want to go making assumptions and mess things up. What are my first steps of diagnosis?

Hi there,

What brand and type of filament are you using for this print. And what temperatures are you printing at? Are you using the hyper PLA preset in creality slicer or are you using the standard PLA preset?

Definitely looks to be some sort of extruder issue, but I want to make sure it is not software based before moving onto hardware issues.
