Endeavor 3D has incorporated the Materialise CO-AM software to enhance its HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing production ability.

The contract manufacturer has integrated the CO-AM platform due to increasing demand for industrial additive manufacturing in strict and stringent sectors.

With CO-AM, Endeavor 3D plans to digitalize its processes, departing from its dependence on email, spreadsheets and whiteboards to manage 3D printing production. The firm anticipates that this move will simplify its workflow, reduce touchpoints and enhance efficiency via automation.

The CO-AM integration provides numerous advantages like effortless storage of incoming requirements in CO-AM’s order management system, getting automatic status alerts, and introducing files into Materialise’s Magics 3D Print Software once orders are set for production. The orders will be neatly batched on build trays with updates delivered automatically to operators during the job’s progression.

CO-AM intends to govern all HP 3D printers on the production line, supplying up-to-the-minute sensor data status updates for offsite tracking and management of quality, while simultaneously administering post-processing, completion, and quality control. According to Endeavor 3D, integrating CO-AM is projected to bring about a 20% increase in labor productivity and a 30% enhancement in yield.

Speaking on the matter, Endeavor 3D COO Janet Dickinson stated, “Our establishment operates multiple manufacturing and quality control processes, therefore, this tool allows us to unify them into a smooth workflow. This highlights Endeavor 3D’s investment in its quality control systems, ensuring the best output for our clients. It’s important to have a software platform that places priority on qualification, thereby making our overall production more efficient.”

Arvind Rangarajan, Global Head of Software and Data, HP Personalization, and 3D Printing commented, “The industry needs printers that are designed for high productivity combined with an integrated workflow solution that aims to reduce the additive parts’ cost while managing quality, to scale additive manufacturing. The partnership of HP and Materialise provides this solution for Endeavor 3D.”

Udo Eberlein, VP of Software at Materialise, included, “This alliance with Endeavor 3D and HP enables us to encourage industrial volume production with additive manufacturing. The CO-AM software platform’s openness allows for seamless integration with HP technology. With this, Endeavor 3D can streamline its production processes and build a robust platform to scale as the company gains more clients and broadens its operations.”
