Ender 3 s1 and s1 pro printer maintenance

Hey guys, I was wondering what you would do maintenance wise for your 3d printers or more specifically for an ender 3 s1 and s1 pro? also how often do you do the various forms of maintenance?

If there is any specific maintenance that has to be done then there should have been some data on this that came with the printer. In general there isn’t much to do

  1. clean and lube the rails
  2. check tension of the belts occasionally.
  3. Clean up any “bits” of filament that are hiding in all the cracks and crevasses.
  4. clean fans and filters if applicable.

Maybe others can add some more items.

Thanks, ill defiantly be sure to do that

for the lubrication for the rails and such, what would you recommend using?

If your printer doesn’t recommend something specific and most don’t, then there are a couple of options. Silicon grease, which can be found in the plumbing section of a hardware store, is a good lube. This is what I use with no visible problems, yet. Generally it is use to lube household water valves etc and is food safe, I would assume if that matters. Another lube that many here like is the “Super Lube” brand of grease. You can get this at “Can Tire” or other hardware stores etc. There are many equivalent types of grease that would work also.
