Ender 3 V2 Power Supply

Is anyone concerned about this matter?

It doesn’t seem right to have ALL the exhaust vent of the power supply blocked! What do you think?

I watched the video. Covering the vents seems like a terrible idea. I do think the vertical mount is a good idea. I am not certain the way the video went about it is better.

I don’t own an ender but inside my Artillery X1 is some hinky wiring.

I know everyone jumps to the fear of a fire hazard but that’s not usually the issue. The major issue is that the heat will cause the high-temperature components (MOSFET’s/Power Transistors) to have a substantially shortened life. Mounting the power supply vertically seems reasonable, although it does expose the power supply terminal strip which would include the 120V terminals. I’d have concerns about that.
I think, if it were me, I’d just print a new cover, leaving lots of room around vent holes and putting a ridge down the middle to separate intake from outflow, but keeping the terminals covered.

Excellent idea. Cheers
