So I’m having difficulties printing, particularly the first few layers. The bed was wobbling so I tightened it and is steady now. It was oozing quite a bit so I changed out the hot end. I’ve been trying to print a big X just to see if it can print evenly across the plate but… well I’ll post an image to show the results after many attempts. Changed temperature, z offset, leveled it manually and auto level.
Hmm looks like it may still be out of level, try leveling it while it is already hot. The bed will change ever so slightly when it heats up so it is always a good idea to do it while it is hot. Make sure you use whatever temperature you print at while you level it, so for PLA I always level the bed at 60C.
You may also want to try washing the build surface off with some isopropyl alchohol, it will help the adhesion of the parts. Try that after you level the build surface hot though.
Try measuring out 100mm from the end of the extruder and marking it off with a marker, then extrude 50mm and check and see how much was actually extruded. This is a quick test to indicate if you are having extrusion issues or not.
Hi @Canuckleboy yes an Extruder calibration would be a good idea, However I think you would want to give your printer an over all examination. Looks like you have loose mountingings in your hot end as well.
If your filament is “dripping” ensure your nozzle is heat tightened and if that is good look into temp tuning your filament. generally speaking I try to find the lowest possible temp that will allow my filament to print without affecting layer bonding.
