Favorite Infill

So Gyroid is all the rage these days, it's what the cool kids are using, and I want to like it, I see the benefits, ref, https://3dprintingspace.com/t/everything-you-need-to-know-about-infills/205

I guess I have only two ‘first-world’ kinda problems with it.
It seems to cause some excess vibrations at higher speeds(shakes my camera…)
It is supposed to be faster, but it looks to me that there is more infill at 10% than my goto, Stars.
In fact, since we all agree that most infill is done between 10-40%, why can’t we expand the options for infill percent in that range? Why can’t I at least have 12.5% and 17.5% if not a crazy 7.5%…

(K, apparently I don’t know how to put a link in a post…)

I’ve settled on using gyroid mostly because the head doesn’t usually hit it. most of the other infills have intersections that are on the same layer and the head bumps over them

Support Cubic is my new go to. Faster! I use adaptive cubic too but typically support cubic. I use the Prusa slicer I am not sure if others have that function.

true, true. I do like the idea of infill designed to support upper horizontal layers…I’ll need to use that more.

I tend to prefer gyroid, for the projects I do that don’t have a lot of infill I find it adds great strength in comparison to the normal grid.

For infill I still use cubic, but for support layers, I fell in love with gyroid. It comes off so cleanly.

Never thought of using it for support
