Glowing jason masks

Had another one of my crazy ideas and decided to expand on my crackle‑paint experiment! This time, I wondered what would happen if I used glow paint as the base coat and then applied the crackle effect on top. I picked up FolkArt Clear acrylic (dries clear) and gave it a shot.

I ended up making two masks:

• A Jason U mask with a chipped, crackle-style paint effect

• A more traditional mask with a clean crackle finish using my own chevron design and paint scheme

Really happy with how both turned out, and the glow effect under the crackle looks wild in person. Curious what you all think of the results!

Boy that’s a tough hockey league!

These are fantastic - chipped crackle over a glow base is such a clever combo, and that Jason U turned out genuinely menacing. Love that the glow only shows through the cracks. Did the FolkArt clear crackle play nicely straight over the glow layer, or did you have to seal between coats to stop it lifting? Definitely want to try this on a helmet now.

Hi Chris I used pva glue just white glue you paint it on top of the glow paint and while the glue is still wet you put your top layer then use a heat gun or hair dryer to dry the top coat this will give you the cracks not sure what would happen if you just let it dry on its own then I seal it and let dry for 24 hrs to let everything cure .
