Here's your latest reminder to keep and eye on your prints!

Always remember to keep an eye on the first couple layers of your print. I will usually look at the first layer go down and then check back in after fifteen minutes or so. Then after that I will usually check every hour or whenever I go by the machine!

Much better!

The best way to fix this issue is to heat up the hotend to as hot as it will go, I will usually do around 300C which is a much higher temperature than most materials need. Take off the fan shroud and once it is heated up pull away as much of the material as you can. If you can save the hotend try and get it out of the blob. In this case I could have saved the hotend but it was in very rough shape so I elected to just replace it! I will give the rest of the toolhead a quick check over and clean up and then I re-install everything and get back to printing.

Eek that is quite a blob of death! lol
