I’ve been printing for about 2 years, but still a newbie, mostly trinkets & toys for grandkids and parts for my projects. I had a Creality Ender 3 but upgraded to the Creality K1 Max and I use their Creality Print 7.0 slicer. I use a number of different brands of filament, almost exclusively PLA. Most of what I printed worked well with the basic presets with me only making adjustments for supports or plate adhesion. Everything was working great then I couldn’t get anything to print (barely). The filament sporadically sticks to the plate and the second layer doesn’t stick to the 1st or any other. The filament comes off in hair-like form, not thready, thinner. I slowed the print speed down to one-third and it started printing better, but only for some of my filaments. So that’s why I’m signing up to this forum. First request for advice would be how to best use this forum?

Have you had a clogged nozzle? If not, it sounds like its on its way. Did you get some nozzle needles with your printer? Raise the print head, pre-heat the nozzle, and work the needle up and down and move it around.
Check your Z-offset: it may be a little high (it seems to me that Creality printers always have the Z-offset too high).
Welcome to the forum. I started with a Creality Ender 3V2 and then moved onto the K1 MAX too.
I occasionally have the same problem. As stated try fiddling, the correct scientific name, with the Z offset. Another thing to try is to increase the “first layer line width” in the Quality pull out to 0.6mm from the standard 0.42mm. It is not advised to go any wider. Slowing the first layer down is important also.
