How to Prevent Clogged Nozzles in 3D Printing?

Clogged nozzles are a common and frustrating issue for 3D printing enthusiasts. When a nozzle becomes blocked, it can lead to incomplete prints, inconsistent extrusion, and wasted materials. Clogs can occur due to various reasons, such as using low-quality filament, printing at incorrect temperatures, or not properly maintaining the printer. Resolving a clog can be time-consuming and may require disassembling parts of the printer.

Personally I use good quality filament, I keep filaments not being used in a plain ziplock bag. I don’t use wood fill stone fill filaments either. I rarely get clogs to be honest I don’t remember when I had the last one. Not one of my four regular printers have had one this year for sure.

I bought a declogger and have not needed to try it. I just checked that was purchased 19 months.

My advice is keep filament clean use a high quality nozzle (I use an x nozzle on all but the Bambu with is their hardened steel one. ) if you are using a filled filament try a .6 over a .4
