I’m trying to install the new touch screen on my ender 5 pro and I have no idea what’s going wrong. I have tried using the same cable which is used for the stock screen that comes with the unit and I’ve read that I have to also use the RS232 cable but I have no idea where it attaches to (I believe). The screen turns on and everything works however it says no printer found.
You didn’t say what controller board you’re using. In my case, I’m using the BTT SKR Mini E3 V2.0. I presume you’re using the default Creality controller. What I don’t know is whether the Creality controller has the serial port exposed and whether the firmware supports, or can support, the touch screen display.
The serial port is the black cable. In order, from Left to Right, the pins are:
Reset Receive Transmit Ground Power
If you can’t get it working from these photos, I’ll take my controller out of my E5Pro and try it. I’ve been meaning to photograph my original controller board anyway so it will give me an excuse to take it out.
