Installing a micro swiss direct drive on cr-10s pro v2

I came across this YouTube video created by PJ back in 2022. Extremely informative and he definitely knows the CR10s Pro v2.

He references the Satsana mini in his video specific for the CR10 with Micro Swiss the direct drive. Does anyone have the link to Thingiverse for the STL?

At the 43:54 mark, PJ talks about flashing the firmware on the screen and the printer using the firmware packs from Tiny Machines. Does anyone know where I can find the firmware pack from TinyMachines website?

I did find this URL but no firmware assets.

Any help and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I had my CR10S Pro’s firmware updated by PJ, along time ago. Since then I have converted it to Klipper.
I have the Micro Swiss all Metal Direct Drive hot end and have the Satsana housing.
Here’s a link.

@HobbyMaker3D,

Thank you for the quick response!

What’s your opinions running Clipper vs the Tiny Machines firmware?

I like the open source capabilities of Klipper, easy to add things like cameras.
Also the wifi controls are great, start, stop prints remotely.
The user interface is great, similiar to what you get with the K1.
All in all a great upgrade although you need to add a unit similar to a Raspberry Pi to run it, I used an MKS Pi ( much less expensive) and it runs through the USB port on the CR10.

Just so you know, the Satsana housing has an awkward idiosyncrasy. To remove the hot end on the Micro Swiss you have to remove the housing first. A pain as they do not allow access to the grub screw from outside of the housing to drop the nozzle/heat block assembly.

Suggestions on an alternate fan shroud?

There are tons of great fan shrouds out there, all varying in terms of features (and quality lol).

Here is a link to look over a bunch of the ones available, and you always have the option of editing the model and adding your own stuff too! Or sometimes if you are not too proficient with CAD you can message the maker of the model directly and see if they would be willing to add on whatever you need.

Thx for the list. I’ll need to review after the holiday break.
