K1 keeps Jamming!

Hi,

I purchased a Creality K1 back in February and have put about 54 days worth of printing on it with little to no issues, it has been an excellent printer. Fast forward to this week and it had a print fail on me. I looked into it and found the extruder gear lost a tooth and it was jammed. I ordered the metal gear upgrade and installed and the print failed the same way (about 50 layers in it just starts clicking and the filament in the extruder gets shredded and won’t pass through).

A while back I had a print fail and I replaced the hot end with the k1c style quick swap nozzles. I have replaced the tip since that (with an Amazon one so not sure the quality of it but good ratings) and now even when I’m extruding filament manually during a change it starts to periodically click and doesn’t come out smooth. It still feeds the filament out during this but pauses when it’s clicking. As soon as I try to print something though it’ll fail within the first hour.

I tried putting PLA in and it barely would print.

I replaced the extruder completely with a new creality one (installed it as it came out of the package without putting the metal gears I bought in and I’m still having the same issue. At a bit of a loss here as for what to try next.

I even reset my printer to factory defaults and put a brand new roll of filament in and having the same issue (even after putting it through the dryer I have).

What would the next thing to check be? I took extruder and nozzle out and ensured it was clear before trying again and there’s nothing in the way.

I haven’t changed the extruder motor itself just the cover with the gears inside as well as the new tip.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated
