I’m looking at moving to an enclosed XY printer.
I’m looking at either the K1 Max or the K2 Plus, There will be a CFS involved with either printer.
What I haven’t been able to find in my looking around is what would I gain or lose by going with one over the other, besides the obvious, like the 50mm smaller volume in all 3 directions, 55mm in the Y direction with the K1 Max, after installing the conversion kit according to the instructions, one being newer than the other, etc.
What would the extra expense of going with a K2 Plus give me in relation to the actual prints?
I haven’t found anything that would suggest one would be easier to use over the other.
One of ths ONLY things that is making me lean towards the K2 Plus is that the K1 conversion for the CFS seems to require the PTFE tube to be run up and into the top of the printer, that would require the top panel be modified or left off, or add extensions to move the top panel up from what I have seen a couple people do. It doesn’t make sense to me that the PTFE tube would need to be routed that differently just because of the CFS, is there some reason it can’t be routed in the original path?
Thanks
