New to 3d printing. How do I get the image from my laptop to printer
I’m surprised no one has answered this yet.
The “image” has to be a suitable file format to start with. *.stl is probably the most common, but some slicers will work with others.
Then you need a “slicer”. Orca, Prusa and Cura are popular, but some manufacturers have their own (e.g. Creality Print, which is a fork of Orca and Prusa). Open your model file in your slicer, set your parameters and “slice”: the resulting file should be a *.gcode.
Transfer the gcode file to your printer.

The physical method is simple. Your printer can accept the code in various ways, depending on the actual printer. Most have a SD card slot and/or a USB port and you can load code directly onto (card or stick) from your computer and then plug into the printer. You can also connect a printer to a computer by cable to a USB port, usually. The easiest to do is wireless. This is available on most newer printers. All these methods result in the same solution.
It really depends upon the printer. Many new printers the easier is cloud translation as some new printers use micro SD cards and the port for them is hard to get too or not in some cases.
