PCTG - Has anyone tried this cousin of PETG?

Just wanted to know is anyone has tried printing with PCTG?
Poly Cyclohexylenedimethylene Terephthalate glycol-modified

Apparently is prints as well or better than PETG, with a slightly better heat deflection rating and killer layer bonding.

I’d love to get my hands on a spool of this.

Sounds like some cool stuff. Id be interested in trying it out too if it came around and didnt cost an arm and a leg.

Best Plastic Name Ever!

Speaking of plastics, why aren’t Bowden tubes (at least the part not in a melt zone) and linear rails not made of UHMW ployethylene? It’s much slipperier and wear-resistant than PTFE.

Of course, one also needs to ask what this gives off in terms of gasses?

It is quite tame in terms of noxious fumes and smell, much like PETG.

I just did a live stream last Sunday in regard to PCTG vs PETG on my channel. LOVE the PCTG… much stronger than PETG, prints very well, z-layer strength is amazing. Will be doing lots more testing with a follow-up video!

Nice, but where did you get the filament?
What does it cost?
Stronger how?
