Im having a hard time getting this picture added to my object and being able to edit it. No mater what I do nothing changes.
I do stuff like this all the time, send me an email with picture, object you want it on. STL file for object, JPG or PNG for pic.
Sounds like HobbyMaker3D has you covered, but all you have to do is convert a graphic (JPG or PNG) to SVG: then import the SVG to your project.
I have tried that but it never worked. Im assuming im doing something wrong but dont know what
What cad program are you using? Maybe I can direct you to some videos to help.
I use onshape. I’ve tried blender and its to complicated for me
I use Fusion, easy as pie but I have an advantage, 45yrs of drafting behind me, 25 in all 3d cad environment. Willing to help.
Just watched a couple video’s on Onshape. It seems the only way it can deal with an imported object is it needs to be a dwg or dxf file. Then you can adjust things. If you want to just emboss or engrave image onto part, jpg or png works. Hope this helps. Online free converters will give you a dwg or dxf files from jpg or png files.
Ok thank you. Ill have to find something that can change into one of those files
I do not know much about onshape, but it may mean the file is too large, or you have maxed out the limits for a free license (if that is what you have). This is something for Onshape to tell you.
I tried it and it wouldnt work still. I was able to do most of the logo myself but there’s 2 letter that I can do on onshape and I dont have anything else to try it on.
