Got some polychromatic filament and was told that I need to do a test print to find proper position of the file on the bed of the printer. Can someone point me in the direction. Cheers

If it was me I would print a small circle couple of mm high, that way you can see what “side” the specific colour will come out on.
Simply rotate your model to have the desired colour on the correct side.
Always remember the little red, green, and blue arrow on your slicer build plate is the front left corner of your physical 3D printer.
