Printer enclosure over temp

My K1max instructions says that the printing chamber needs to be under 35C while printing PLA or PETG otherwise the nozzle might jam because of heat creep. This means the door or lid needs to be open. Has anyone had any trouble like this printing with an enclosure.

No. generally not. My two enclosed Prusas have never had any kind of issue like that. My Bambu I never print with the door of top off but I do open small vents on a top lid I use two 5 inch long with about 8 1/4 inch holes.

Hi Loosenut, I have a K2 plus that I have been playing with since Dercember and have run into this problem. I was printing with PETG for my model and PLA as the support. No side fans, no part cooling fan - no fans at all. The chamber temperature was going over 35C and the nozzle kept jamming up. I figured it was probably heat creep. I also had a big temperature difference between the PETG (245) and the PLA (220) with a bed temperature of 80C. So I decided to leave all fans off and turn on the back fans, which exhaust heat from the chamber. At first I set them to 80% and it was doing a nice job of keeping the heat creep away, but they were very noisy at that speed. So I adjusted them down to 10% and now the heat creep is gone, the fans are not noisy, and the chamber temperature stays anywhere between 29 and 31 C. Hope this helps you in fine tuning your new machine : )
