Printing Budget PETG on a Bambu Lab P1S

I bought some Budget PETG back in April and i’ve tried many different settings to get it to print right on a Bambu Lab P1S but have had no luck

I ask this assuming you have had good luck printing other filaments like PLA.

Have you tried to use different PETG filament presets just to see if it will make a difference.

i’ve tried a couple different presets and a few different settings i’ve found online

All I can tell you is that I had trouble with budget PLA once, same problem. You can try a better filament and see if it is OK.

i’ll just have to keep messing around with the settings but thanks for the advice

It would be nice to see what some of your more basic settings are to give you some more specific advice. I have been buying the cheapest PETG I can find for thenlast 3 years and print almost exclusively with it. Have used PETG from Creality, Overture, Comgrow, Bambu Lab, and others. PETG likes to be printed at 245C on a textured PEI sheet and a bed temp of 70C. Speed should be 30 or less for the 1st layer and no more than about 75 for the other layers. Cooling is not necessary except for some larger angle overhangs - then only use about 40 percent. As long as your machine is calibrated well and is in good mechanical condition (no loose parts wobbling around) these settings should yield very good results generally speaking. But you will of course need to fine tune them for each model (support settings, speed in areas with more detail/fragile areas, etc.).

Thank you i’ll try using those settings
