you mentioned a Python mod for the AMS, I have to ask, Never heard of this before what is it?
I have seen a couple of this people are adding to the AMS units like the replacement cover from sunlu that is a dryer for filament, thought that was pretty cool.
The mod introduces and gears spool system to the ams. This in my case eliminated completely retraction issues caused by low friction. It also sorts out cardboard spools and light end rolls. It is a fantastically well designed and easy to do it looks more intimidating than it is. The instructions are very good and comprehensive.
I don’t know or have affiliations with the designer but his designs are some of the best I have come across. Well thought out and fits really well. I have not looked at doing this to my AMS2 yet, but at the frustration grows it is more and more likely.
Does anyone know if the Python spool system fits inside the AMS if you’re also using that Sunlu heater top Jason mentioned? Or is the clearance too tight to run both?

the pylon completely replaces the body of the AMS. They have an actively heated enclosure with the use of polymaker dry dock modules. I suppose you could design your own enclosure to use the sunlu but it costs more so it is a lot more work and cost.
