Our journey starts with Hannover Messe in Germany and journeys through Metalcasting Congress, Chinaplas, TechBlick’s Innovation Festival amongst others. Stratasys has a special spot on our radar with its advanced training and will also be in the limelight with its webinar. 3DHEALS also gets our attention with its most recent virtual panel discussion and last but not least, we look forward to Meltio’s dialogue on metal AM in the machine shop via its webinar. Unwrapping the 3D Printing News

Our very own Joris Peels, who besides being our Executive Editor also fills the shoes of Vice President of Consulting at Additive Manufacturing Research (AMR), brings to you a news livestream one to two times a week. Rearranging his schedule at around 9:30 am EST, this session titled ‘3D Printing News Unpeeled’ is quite the revelation. He engages his LinkedIn Live audience with all the noteworthy news scoops from the 3D printing industry in an impressive time frame of 20 minutes or less. Some of these news pieces will be those covered on our platform, 3DPrint.com, while others may be fresh from the industry, but needless to say, each will cast an equally compelling impact.

Hannover Messe 2024: April 22 – 26

Hannover Messe, a renowned international platform for industrial transformation, will be held in Germany from the 22nd to the 26th of April. This fair brings together key industrial sectors such as automation, R&d, drive engineering, and industrial IT to discuss a broad range of topics like additive manufacturing. The event presents opportunities to make valuable connections, learn updated trends in manufacturing and power, and partake in special events such as the Research and Innovation Summit, the Economic Forum, the Night of Innovations, awards, and more.

April 23 – 25: Metalcasting Congress

North America’s premier event for the metalcasting supply chain, Metalcasting Congress 2024, will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from April 23-25. It’s put on by the American Foundry Society (AFS), and over 2,000 attendees are expected. There will be panel discussions, keynotes, networking events, and in-depth technical sessions on a variety of topics, including engineering, Industry 4.0, melting, molding, and additive manufacturing. Plus, over 200 exhibitors will be present, including several well-known companies in the AM industry, like 3D Systems, Markforged, ExOne, Stratasys, and more.

April 23 – 25: Stratasys Continues Advanced Training

This week, Stratasys continues its advanced training courses at its North American subsidiary headquarters in Minnesota. From April 23-25, it will offer “Stereolithography Advanced Operations” for customers looking to gain a deeper knowledge of the whole SLA workflow on the Stratasys Neo 3D printer family.

Learners will be introduced to topics such as materials consideration, working in Materialise Magics software, printing operations, best practices and parts finishing techniques.

This course will also be offered in the U.S. in May, June, July, August, and September of this year.

April 23 – 26: Chinaplas 2024

The 36th Chinaplas, a globally recognized trade fair for the plastics and rubbers industry, is scheduled in Shanghai from April 23-26. This period is one of rapid progression for the industry, with an abundance of innovative technologies ready to be presented at the event. Its main areas of focus include the circular economy, digitalization, innovative materials, and high-end technologies emerging from China. The event will host four eco-friendly manufacturing theme zones, where, amongst the 250 total, Stratasys Shanghai, Arburg, Raise3D, and Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies will showcase their offerings.

April 23: Materialise Reinvents Metal 3D Printing

At AMUG, Materialise introduced a new module for Magics known as Materialise e-Stage for Metal+, which provides a novel method for support generation that can attenuate AM costs and enhance the quality of the part. Get more details about it in “Metal 3D Printing, Reinvented” on Tuesday, April 23rd, at 10 am EST. Participants will broaden their knowledge of laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and garner a new perspective concerning its optimization while understanding why there’s no need for sacrificing part quality to make metal AM more economically feasible.

April 23: Uplift Business with 3D Systems’ SLS Technology

April 24: Massivit Open House at Shag Carpet

Another open house this week is by Massivit, on Wednesday, April 24th at Shag Carpet Prop Rentals in Dallas, Texas. It’s a great chance to see what the company’s large-scale 3D printers are capable of creating, including theme park characters, huge experiential displays, branded event props, 3D window displays, and more. Attendees will get to see the printer in action, and learn from its customer Shag Carpet just how the technology is impacting business.

April 24: Meltio’s Metal 3D Printing in the Machine Shop

Join Meltio for “Industrial Reality: Metal 3D Printing in the Machine Shop” on the 24th at 11 am EST to learn more about the use of metal 3D printing technology in machine shops. The free webinar will be presented by Opto-Mechanical Engineer at Meltio, Maksim Orlov. He will talk about the Meltio M600 printer with its multiple blue lasers and compact deposition head and its integration into machine shops. TechBlick Innovations Festival is scheduled for the 25th of April

TechBlick will be hosting their no-cost online Innovations Festival on the upcoming Thursday, April 25th, from 1-8 pm CEST. Emphasis will be on all dimensions of sustainable, hybrid, flexible, additive, wearable, and 3D electronics. The event will be conducted on TechBlick’s specific platform, where you can use your avatar to wander the exhibition, meet the invited speakers, and communicate with other participants. April 25: ADDITIV Medical Spain

For its third installment, IAM3DHUB is set to host ADDITIV Medical Spain, a yearly congregation of professionals and enthusiasts from the Spanish medical and dental 3D printing community.
