Specify laser engraving speed

Hello,

I am a total newbie in 3D printing, CNC, and laser engraver. I recently bought a used 3-in-1 Creality CP-01. What is the gcode command for specifying the speed in which the laser beam moves?

In the CP-01 instructional youtube video below, at time mark 1:43 the print (engraving) speed was adjusted manually by interrupting the engraving process and manually specify the “printing speed” to slow the laser down. There must be a way to specify this speed at the start of the process.

Hi there, welcome to the forum!

Personally I wouldn’t do it that way, what I would do would be to make a new slicer profile for your printer, or just duplicate the one you currently use. Once you have done this turn the speeds down in the slicer, this will save you having to do this every time the print starts.
