I had the big blob escape and as such, the thermistor wires were pulled out of the heat block. How should they be reconnected? Stuffed into the hole under the screw and tightened down? Any help is appreciated.
Without the glass bead intact, you will need a new thermistor. Also glass bead, if it is still in the hole, would need to be removed.
Agreed, and if like mine when they got torn off by a blob, you may not be able to remove the bead, so a new block may be in order as well. Doesn’t hurt to have spares on hand! I used a small butane torch to heat the block up enough to get the other items out, but that bead is on my - need to drill out list. (really really low priority task)
