Upgrading my old tronxy

Good evening all,

I am looking to upgrade my old tronxy bit by bit.

I would like to start with a new hot end assembly and new extruder.

I’ve been looking at the Bowden style with a direct drive. What are your recommendations?

Thanks for all of your input

The first thing I’d recommend, seriously, is that you verify that the Tronxy is working properly so that you’re starting from a known-good state. Then do only one upgrade at a time and test, test, test. That way, if it suddenly doesn’t print well (or at all), you’ll be confident the fault lies with the most recent upgrade rather than a defect it had to begin with.
