What is Recycled PLA filament?

Recycled PLA filament is a sustainable 3D printing material made from post-consumer waste, reducing environmental impact. It shares the same ease of use and versatility as traditional PLA, offering smooth prints and low warping. By repurposing plastic waste, it promotes eco-conscious 3D printing while maintaining high-quality results, making it an excellent choice for environmentally conscious makers and businesses.

Hi there,

Great explanation of r-PLA, one more point I would like to make is that most of the time recycled PLA is mixed with brand new PLA. This helps to achieve a more consistent a easily printable roll of filament, and it also helps to lessen the affects of any impurities present in the recycled materials.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing more recycled materials enter the market!
