Where is 3DPC Standard PLA made?

With all of the US rhetoric going on and I’m not real pleased with Amazon right now (different issue), I have become aware of this “Made in Canada” and “Buy Canadian products” sentiment. I just watched a 3DPC short on YouTube and thought it odd that they keep highlighting the Canadian-made line, with no mention of Standard PLA. So, where is Standard PLA made?

p.s. I’m a happy 3DPC customer, so will continue buying from them; even if it’s Chinese (but obviously not American).

EDIT: I’m answering my own question: the product page tells me it is “Sourced from Asia, Standard PLA has been a popular choice”.

Thank you 3D Printing Canada for a great product.

PlA and PLA+ are not really different it can refer to a ton of tings that are added. Much like stainless steel it isn’t one mix but many.

https://eurekafilaments.ca list the exact plastic, 4043D PLA they use. Also made in Canada and is just PLA. They are my personal fav.

In our case PLA+ is a more heat resistant material, we will do a video demonstrating this in the future for sure.

4043D is a NatureWorks pellet sourced from the USA.

Chris are you aware of any filament made of Canadian made plastic and extruded in Canada? I am not personally, there are a lot of Canadian extruded filament but not many from fully Canadian sourced materials too.

I don’t believe anyone’s making PLA pellets in Canada. The only options are USA, Europe and Asian manufactured PLA raw materials.

My hope, in the end, is that all 3d printing consumers support Canadian suppliers as many of the ones on Amazon are simply foreign owned entities that don’t employ Canadians.
