I dug out my CR-10 and ran some simple tests. X & Y are fine.
The Z axis moves downward whether you move it + or -.
And while it’s moving, I hit the Z limit switch and it continues moving.
Can anyone suggest a fix?

Check the z limit switch for operation and wiring?
I would try reinstalling or updating the firmware to see if that makes a difference.
Found it. The Z axis stop was unplugged to the board.
Thank you both.
