Creality K1 Prusa Slicer Profile

creality k1 max vs, flsun v400;
hands down v400;
reasoning:
backdrop ( pla silk , both at 200 mm/s overall );
after 500 jobs on the 400 ( and two critical part failures and purchased replacement assemblies)
and about 50 on the k1 max;
the v400 handles everything i threw at it but there is a critical design flaw so that printer when pushed WILL fail ( i am not talking nozzle issues, rather effector assembly issues, i now have bought 2 !);
the k1 max as i have used it has always been with creality print ( slicer ) which is an absolute disaster;
i have had successes with vase mode ( but some failures which seem to be under-entrusion );
anything to do with detail + size has been awful to good-if-viewed-from-afar-only (blobbing, artifacts) ;
not really acceptable;
it should be noted that the settings i have mostly been using have been based on the profile settings for the k1 max included in creality print ( same company); which i have noted sometimes are complete crap;
so i had to alter quite a few; obviously havent gotten enough of them right;
the 3rd party profiles for cura for the k1 max have bizarre settings and scanning them i cant go that route; so i wait for cura and prusa to include this k1 max in their officially supported printers and shelve the printer until then
and/or
just buy another V400 ( bargaining as a repeat customer to throw in another effector assembly);
(( if that extra effector comes thru then i will have a spare that can be thrown into either of 2 V400s that might fail));
note the buy-direct price ( which i did with my first v400) has dropped online a good bit**;
their support has been pretty good i will say, the ‘chat system’ they have has humans behind it and they have a surprising amount of pull in negotiating price;
note that tradeoff between these two printers, in my mind, was between the build plate volumes at purchase-time; the v400 delta can print vertical (z-axis) to 410 but the x,y is only 300 diameter;
the k1 max has only 300 vertical but 300x300 on the bed;
time since those purchase-time decisons i would go with v400 at this time;
i seem to recall the order-to-delivery time ( here in Thailand) was about 17 days which is about the median for buy-direct-stuff we get from china thru manufacturers direct;

** i recall that once added to their basket online , just wait a couple days and they contact you with a further discount :grinning:

update on my k1 max; not good news;
i will be shelving this printer, anyone reading this can pick it up here for free;
i cannot tolerate a printer that has printed successfully g-code files and has them in their rom history and cant print them again;
repeadetly;
this thing has never been working clean; i do blieve it is primarly the ceality print slicer ( but then how to explain not reprinting former successful prints ?)
but i have solid alternatives and do not wish to further patronize a chinese manufacturer that uses the microsoft model for quality assurance;

Hay Mathew,

Have you done any settings for the K1 for Nylon or ABS?
