Extruder motor keeps stopping mid print

Yeah I solved the issue. Check your wiring. Make sure nothing is loose. And check your currents for your motor

Excellent
Glad the site was helpful. My thoughts were a little to late but very glad you fixed the issue.
Do you know what the root issue was or did you do multiple things at one time which makes it hard to know exactly what fixed it.

Not sure actually what fixed it! By the time I took it there, it just went away. I’m going to guess it was something on the motherboard or daugtherboard getting loose and the cars vibrations put it back in place

HI @Seppo

Welcome to the forum, Glad you found us.

Hope to see you here often with any questions, problems or tricks.

Love to see them all

Jason

My extruder stepper driver Vref was 1.4V. I adjusted it to 1.2V and going to try the same .gcode that failed earlier.

Other Vrefs were 1.1V.

double-check your fans as well on the stepper drivers. If they get too hot may go into thermal shutdown. would give the same symptom

The fan works. Its a 80mm fan and it moves air just fine.

The same .gcode worked now with the lower Vref on the extruder. And the Y-axis movemets are also little quieter after lowerin Y Vref.

Its getting 26C inside now so I guess the drivers/motors were just overheating.

all good, as long as you got it working that’s the main thing.
