Good catch. The touch hangs off the side of the extruder housing on the B1. Definitely not there. I saw ABL ENABLED, and then your photo, and made the wrong assumption. My apologies to all.
Man, I miss my B1. A great machine with great firmware.
The other kill switch isnât working thou itâs z whatâs ment to be there isnât it
Look lower down, near the level of the bed. Itâs just a screw stuck onto the aluminum extrusion.
That screw head is what triggers the limit switch and has to be higher than the bed. Can be any height above, then tune electronically with the z-offset.
you can do home and see if itâs working by triggering the switch with your finger. if it is then the next thing is to make sure it stops on the switch before the nozzle hits the bed. adjust it with the screw
No the switch doesnât seem to work at all unfortunately I donât know weâre to go from here lol maybe Iâll have to buy a replacement wire or switch unsure
someone could have changed to firmware to expect sensorless Z homing. in the touch, screen menu go to menu setting info and post a photo here of that screen
The good news is limit switches are 2 dollah.
Prolly 6 pence in your parlance.
Bad news is you get to learn how to solder.
looks like the original firmware that came with it. there were some small issues but should work. Do you have any way to test that switch?
To be sure, take a switch that is working, and move it & the wire harness to the z.
Then you will know.
Iâm just ganna have to solder it to be fare I but pretty good bargain 100 pound printer I love going to auction lol
Iâve tested with my finger didnât work
162 CAD. You cleaned up. Itâs a super duper machine.
Just watch mundane stuff, like the USB falls apart.
So for a 6p switch and a soldering kit, you will make it work.
100% not bad at all can you guys show me some things youâve made and thanks so much for everyones help
I make things that would bore your tits off, like brackets and adapters.
In my defense, that shit makes money.
Most people make dolls and costumes because of arrested development, but the economist magazine was correct in calling this the third wave of the industrial revolution.
To quote an old movie: See a need, fill a need.
