Tevo Tarantula Newbie

The cube still looks like a big nozzle. what are the outside measurements of it? Should be pretty much exactly 20mm square. I’ll print one with .4 and show you, might be good to see your slicer settings. what slicer are you using?

Sorry, it took so long I messed up the settings and had to wait lol. but this is closer to what it should look like and be 20mm square. I think your ok mechanically I think it’s just settings now.

That doesn’t look terrible for a 1mm nozzle., still perhaps a bit under extruded some. I personally have used a 0.8 a bunch but have settles on a 0.6 it just looks better.

I might try a new cube with the extrusion multiplier or flow settings at something like 1.05 and see if that fills in some.

Here’s one with a 1.2mm nozzle. The important thing with the big nozzles on this cube is that the outsides are the right dimensions, it can tell you a lot.

.

I thought I had you in my other reply.

I’ll stick with the 0.4 Till I Get it Right!!! lol
Temp tower right now is a Bit much

This time I’m using Cura 15.04.3
Here’s the settings

Here’s the controller screen

Hit print
Showed no nozzle temp
Hit tune brought nozzle up to 210
Didn’t adjust speed or Flow

It almost looks normal lol
X 19.52mm, Y 19.62mm, Z 19.49
Not bad, but it should look better… Right?

To fine tune Temp, Speed ???

The other stuff I used Slic3r and On the other cube I Have No idea what the settings were Other then I backed the speed down to 44% through the controller

I’ll try Slic3r again to see what happens

definitely looks better. the wall thicknesses seem a little lean to me, as do top and bottom layers. Try setting layer height to 0.20 and shell thickness to 1.0 it might be a lot better.

I think we have it for the Most part lol

I started with g-code the previous owner got (No Idea from where or what program)
Tried loading the g-code from them into Cura, unknown.
Using Cura from now on I Think lol

Thank You Everyone for all your Help!!!

I’ll Probably have more Questions later!!!

And
The z axis mount… Does it get smoother then that? Not trying to be Fussy… Just wondering!!!
I’ve seen some prints that looked like they were machined, I Know my printer is
Not Expensive enough lol … No Idea!!!

Settings

Looks like I don’t have to do any baking lol

Is there anyone who knows what software came with the Tevo Tarantula, or
still has the original info or instructional file?

Oh yeah that seems like a big improvement. Is the print strong enough

Most don’t come with any software but there might be something on GitHub for it.
